CALL TO ORDER
 

Mayor Santos called the Special Meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with all members of Council in attendance.

The Town's Solicitor, David Halliwill, was also in attendance, along with Solicitor Sebastian Schmoranz representing Tay Inc., the owner of 190 Main St. East.

DISCLOSURE OF PECUNIARY INTEREST
 

Mayor Santos reminded Council that any declaration is to be made prior to each item being discussed and to identify the nature of the conflict, if any, as the agenda items come forward.

CLOSED SESSION

    That Council, at 7:31 p.m., pursuant to Section 239(2) of the Municipal Act, enter into Closed Session to address the following items:

    i) subsection 239(2)(f) advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communcations necessary for that purpose;

    ii) Subsection 239(2)(k) a position, plan, procedure, criteria or instruction to be applied to any negotiations carried on or to be carried on by or on behalf of the municipality or local board;

    iii) Subsection 239(2)(i) a trade secret or scientific, technical, commercial, financial or labour relations information, supplied in confidence to the municipality or local board, which, if disclosed, could reasonably be expected to prejudice significantly the competitive position or interfere significantly with the contractual or other negotiations of a person, group of persons, or organization;

    all relating to 190 Main St. East, being Part of Lot 2, Concession 1, ED, Parts 1 and 2, 12R26799.

REPORT OUT OF CLOSED SESSION
 

Upon rising from Closed Session at 9:54 p.m. Mayor Santos reported that Council addressed Agenda Items Ci), ii) and iii) in Closed Session this evening, as described above. The Town met with its Solicitor, David Halliwill, and with Solicitor Sebastian Schmoranz  (Solicitor for Tay Inc.) regarding 190 Main Street East, and Council provided direction to Solicitor Halliwill.
